Colombia vs. Ecuador: Time, Channel, & Lineup

Colombia reversed their struggling form last week against Bolivia, but will find a much tougher test today when they host red-hot Ecuador. Los Cafeteros have been struggling in CONMEBOL play, but James Rodriguez was heavily involved in the team’s 3-2 victory in La Paz. The points were huge for Colombia, who opened with just four points in their first four qualifying matches. Ecuador still have not lost in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying, but needed an extra time goal to draw level with Paraguay last week.

Ecuador may lead the standings, but Colombia have won four of five meetings between these teams since 2009. If Colombia want to hand Ecuador their first loss, they will need another strong performance from their captain. James has underwhelmed at Real Madrid this season, but scored a nice opening goal for Bolivia and assisted another.
